The sad thing about learning to be who you are, and doing what you love, is that sometimes family and friends can think that you are being selfish and they can almost resent the "new" you that emerges from this personal voyage of discovery!!
Sad, but true....still its a toughening thing to go through and you emerge feeling stronger.
Onwards and upwards!!
Hey, Jualsy -
It's challenging when someone steps outside the norm - some people fear that youwill leave them behind; others feel that annoying tug when a dream they'd put to sleep begins to stir in resonance with yours. The two best 'cures' I've found:
1. Keeping the lines of communication open and talking all this stuff through as it's happening
2. Living joyfully - when you are in love with your life, that sets up a resonance that awakens the love in the people around you.
As a friend of mine recently told me, 'my peace is my family's peace'.
Happy exploring,
michael
PS - Check out the movie 'Invincible' and the book 'The Dreamgiver' for more thoughts on this!
